GEM is looking for a Staff Accountant in its financial reporting department that services GEM Realty Properties. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, highly analytical, able to multitask, intellectually curious, has good time management skills, can work independently as well as in a group, and is confident in their ability to handle a variety of responsibilities. Description of Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting packages for assigned properties/assets.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and analyze financial data of assigned properties/assets.
Work with property management team to resolve any issues.
Prepare quarterly tax projections.
Assist the tax preparer in completing the annual tax return.
Prepare lender and partner reports to comply with the financial reporting requirements
Work with external auditors and provide answers to their questions/requests.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, including strong academic performance
GPA of at least a 3.0
CPA or CPA candidate
Strong skills in Microsoft office
Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
