Our admissions process relies on educators, guidance counselors, and community leaders to help identify young people with the potential to be leaders of tomorrow. The nomination deadline for the 2024-2025 application season is Wednesday, December 18, 2024. To learn more about nominating a student, contact an Admissions Officer in your borough.
Prep (5th & 6th grade) Eligibility
PREP 9 (7th grade) Eligibility
Students must be in 5th or 6th grade
Students must be of African American, Caribbean, Latino, Asian, Indigenous of the Americas, or Middle Eastern descent
Students must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or hold asylee or refugee status
Student has an average of 90% or above in major subject areas and 3's and 4's on both the Math and ELA state exams
Students must be in 7th grade
Students must be of African, African American, Latino, Caribbean or Indigenous of the Americas descent
