Philanthropic and Strategic Partnerships Manager

Position Summary: The Philanthropic and Strategic Partnerships Manager reports to the Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Partner with the Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships, Chief Executive Officer, Board of Trustees, and Associates Council members to meet annual fundraising goals through Individual Philanthropy programs and the annual Lilac Ball.
- In coordination with the DoDSP, provide strategic direction on portfolio and major gift donors and prospects, assisting cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for existing, lapsed, new, and prospective donors.
Communications:
- Produce communication materials, including tailored informational sheets, donor proposals, planned giving campaigns, and slide decks to support donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Create letter drafts for the CEO to acknowledge major gifts.
- Manage and update donor materials to ensure information is accurate and current.
- Record donor communications in the database.
Individual:
- Orchestrate donor and prospect visits, including Leadership Development Opportunities and Preparatory Class visits, meetings, personalized outreach, invitations, touchpoint communications, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Support the work of the Board's Development and Nominating Committees, researching prospects and helping to drive the next actions.
- Conduct prospect research of potential major donors, future Board and Associates Council members, and Lilac Ball Honorees, finding ways to engage them with Prep for Prep.
- Track the status of donor prospects and maintain a leadership nominating chart that includes the Board, Corporate Trustees, Associates Council, and Major Gift Prospects.
Board:
- Schedule, attend, and record Development, Board Relations, and Nominating Committee meetings.
- Assist CEO, DoDSP, and Chairs with goal-setting and informational and organizational needs.
- Coordinate Board member giving and fundraising by tracking member contributions and Board renewals to ensure goals are met.
- Track metrics and measures of success for targeted Board initiatives to grow capacity and diversity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a related field, such as a nonprofit or educational setting, is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to adapt content to different audiences.
- Skilled at relationship-building and comfortable engaging with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- Cultural competence in working with diverse constituents, including alumni, donors, trustees, program participants, and other stakeholders.
- The candidate must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet objectives, staff donor/prospect events, and assume other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000
